Yesterday associate vice president for Student Life/ Resident Life, Richard Rossi revealed that a major line break occurred in the lower part of Becker Hall. This line break affected both Becker Dining Hall, as well as the Faculty Commons. Due to the location of the line break, the Asian World Center was greatly impacted and a question as of whether these offices would remain open or not for the time being was raised and the answer to this question is yet to be confirmed. Steps to repair damages caused by this event are taking place, although it is expected for these repairs to take some time before they are completed. Students are being advised to eat at alternate dining sites around campus for the time being as well.
