Men’s basketball beat Huskers

Creighton topped Nebraska 67-61 Sunday at Qwest Center Omaha. The Jays snapped a three-game losing streak with the win.

Junior center Kenny Lawson Jr. had a career night, setting a new career-high with 25 points, and tallying 10 rebounds to give him his first career double-double. Senior guard Cavel Witter was the only other Jay in the double digits, scoring a season-high 13 points.

The Jays return to action Saturday at George Mason. Tipoff is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. The game will be televised on KMTV.
