Omaha is usually not considered a hot spot for hip-hop dance, but ASA hopes to change that for at least one night.

The Creighton University Asian Students Association is bringing Victor Kim, a singer/dancer known from the MTV reality competition “America’s Best Dance Crew,” to campus. He along with his dance group, Quest Crew, won season three of the television show.

Kim will be showcasing his dance and singing talents, which have gained popularity through covers on YouTube.

ASA president, Arts & Sciences senior Catherine Hsu is hopeful for the event.

“It should be really exchiting. Victor is going to have some crowd interaction, a possible dance off, and some Creighton students are also opening for him.”

Hsu said inviting artists to Creighton is new for the association.

“We have never actually brought anyone in, so this is something new for the club.”

Hsu welcomes anyone who wants to see a good show to come to the student center Friday night.

Victor Kim will be performing 8 p.m. at the Skutt Center Ballroom. Tickets can be bought on the Skinner Mall 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Friday, in Brandeis Dining Hall 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. or at the door. Tickets are $12 for members, $14 for non-members, and $16 at the door.
