Assistant professor publishes book
Dr. Britta McEwen, who is an assitant professor in the Department of History, has published a book recently. This book focuses on the development of sexual knowledge in Vienna during the early twentieth century. Based on extensive research about the culture of Vienna at that time, McEwen explores traditions of this city by analyzing the shifts of attitude of the time and how this impacted the knowledge of sexΒ and its purpose in society.

Endowed chair named
The endowed chair in nephrology, (the study of the kidneys) has been named in honor of Dr. J. Dan Egan, M.D. Egan has been working in medicine for 64 years, and began at Creighton in 1954. A former navy as well as marine, Egan continues his work by mentoring Creighton students.This chairΒ is the 37th to be endowed at Creighton.
