The Emmys brought some joy into the world this weekend. While honoring the best primetime TV shows of the year, the awards also delivered some much needed humor. Here are just a few highlights from the 2020 Emmy Awards.

1. Zendaya

Zendaya was the star of the show, and you cannot tell me otherwise.

From wowing us in her two beautiful dresses to making history, she owned the night.

She became the youngest woman to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for her role in “Euphoria.” She is the second Black woman to win this award, following Viola Davis.

2. “Schitt’s Creek” sweeping the comedy Categories

This show deserved every award it won and more.

The show’s four main characters — Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy — each took home an award for their work in the sixth and final season.

The show, created by Eugene and Daniel Levy, also took home the award for outstanding comedy series.

3. Tracee Ellis Ross’ at-home look

While there was no official red carpet for stars to walk, Ross still stunned the world from home.

She shared her Emmy look with fans on social media and included her own little red carpet, too.

4. The interns

Maybe you saw it on Twitter, but there was a video circulating of an intern in a hazmat suit at a nominee’s house. When the nominee did not win, the video showed the intern waving the award and leaving the star’s house. I suggest checking it out if you haven’t seen it.
