Creighton’s Intervarsity club hosted the event Cooks n’ Crafts over zoom last Friday for their members and the larger Creighton community.

The event was split into two sections of cooking and painting with prizes for the winners of each category.

Each person had 30 minutes to try and complete their own culinary or art masterpieces before the judging process started.

Intervarsity described their event on Creighton’s SLIC website by saying: “Join Intervarsity online for a time of painting and cooking!

Get to know one another and learn about what Intervarsity has to offer!”

Instructions were sent out beforehand as well as the ingredients for the cooking portion of the event.

Students in dorm rooms without any sort of kitchen were challenged to cook a raw egg and then also make it delicious. The prizes for first place were $25 gift

cards to First Watch, and the second place prizes were $5 Target giftcards.

Intervarsity is a Christian club on campus that opens their arms to any denomination.

They aim to serve the community through bible studies and fun get-togethers as they grow in Jesus’ mission.

Ryan DeCamp, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences and a leader in Intervarsity, says: “Our mission statement is a community following Jesus and the mission.”
