Social distancing and staying home are more important than ever right now. But staying in and watching Netflix, or any other streaming site, gets old after a while.

Here is a list of four things to do besides binging all the shows on Netflix:

  1. Deep clean the space you’re spending the most time in.

This is a great way to spend some time away from a screen and be productive. This can also be a great stress reliever, as cluttered and disorganized spaces can cause anxiety for some. Now is a great time to go through old stuff and make a pile for donation — but maybe hold off bringing them to donate until a later date.

  1. Pick up a new hobby

This is the perfect time to learn something new. Have you been wanting to try baking or explore new recipes in the kitchen? Now is a great time to get started. Have you saved an interesting craft on Pinterest you’ve been hesitant to try? Now is that “rainy day” to start. Most of us have a lot of time on our hands, so get creative. Get out the art supplies and draw or paint something. Or, if you once played an instrument, dig it out and give it a try again.

  1. Reach out to friends and family you may not have spoken to in a while.

From the challenge of shifting to online classes to the uncertainty of what’s happening, this is a stressful time for everyone. But this time allows us to reach out to old and new friends to check up on them. It is also a great time to give a relative a call to chat as well. We’re lucky that there are so many ways we can stay connected to friends and family. From FaceTime and Google Hangouts to a simple phone call, friends are just a couple clicks away.

  1. Get Outside

While a key part of social distancing is staying home and staying inside, that doesn’t mean you can’t get out of your space for a bit. Taking a walk around the block, while still practicing social distancing, is a great way to get out and enjoy spring. If you have access to a car, taking a drive while listening to some new music is another great way to get out. Just remember to be responsible and smart about how you go about it. Also make sure to follow your individual state’s guidelines on what is acceptable and allowed during this time.

Whatever you choose to do during this period of isolation, it is important to remember to make smart choices. Social distancing, although really challenging, is really important for everyone to follow. Stay informed and stay inside.
