Couldn’t travel to Washington or Indiana to follow your Creighton sports teams? No worries, here’s a quick recap of what happened in Bluejay Nation last weekend.
Men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball all walked away with a win and a loss each.
First, the wins: On Friday, volleyball handed Indiana State a five-set loss Friday night in Terre Haute. The women’s soccer team also took down the Sycamores with a 1-0 win at home. And at the Husky Fever Classic in Seattle, the No. 17 men’s soccer team shut out Washington 1-0.
However, the rest of the weekend wasn’t so good. Saturday afternoon, Illinois State volleyball turned the tables on the Jays for a five-set win of their own. On Sunday, Portland came from behind to hand men’s soccer its second loss (2-1) of the season. Meanwhile, in Colorado, women’s soccer lost to Northern Colorado, also by a 2-1 score.
In tennis, Sarah Cadwallader and Tess Reddin took home the consolation championship at the Drake Invite. And the women’s cross country team came in fourth at the Dean White Invitational hosted by Doane College.
