The Bluejays got their first victory of the season on Tuesday night against Saint Louis. The team fought back to win, 68-56, at Chaifetz Arena.
Megan Neuvirth posted her fifth double-double of the year, scoring 17 points and grabbing a career-high 16 rebounds.
The Jays had difficulty on offense for most of the first half, shooting 21.7 percent from the field and giving up 12 turnovers. They roared back in the second half, with exceptional play from Kelsey Woodard, who scored 23 points and added four blocked shots.
The win gives Creighton a record of 1-3. The Jays hope to bring the same fire against Denver this weekend. They will host the Pioneers on Sunday at 2:05 p.m.
