How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

I know we all have fond memories of those tongue twister days from our childhood! International Tongue Twister Day is on November 7th, so bust out all those old tongue twisters and give them a try!

According to this cool site, though many of us only think of tongue twisters as fun verbal challenges, they also serve a practical purpose of practicing pronunciation. English tongue twisters may be used by foreign students of English to improve their accent, actors who need to develop a certain accent, and by speech therapists to help those with speech difficulties.

But we might as well have some fun while we practice our careful pronunciation, right? So here are some classics!

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck

If a woodchuck could chuck wood?

He would chuck, he would, as much as he could,

And chuck as much as a woodchuck would

If a woodchuck could chuck wood.

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.

Did Peter Piper pick a peck of pickled peppers?

If Peter Piper Picked a peck of pickled peppers,

Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

She sells seashells by the seashore.

The shells she sells are surely seashells.

So if she sells shells on the seashore,

I’m sure she sells seashore shells.

A skunk sat on a stump and thunk the stump stunk,

but the stump thunk the skunk stunk.

Have fun and have a great weekend! =)
