As Toyota’s woes recently multiplied, I have become increasingly worried about my own 2008 Corolla. Though it is not affected by the recall, I couldn’t help but be concerned that my car could somehow be the exception, putting me in danger. So I decided to call my ultimate source of all things automotive–Dad–to find out what to do if my car suddenly accelerates. And according to him (whom I believe to be a credible source), I’m supposed to put the car in neutral and then slowly brake to stop. It seems like a pretty easy fix for a scary problem.
