Safety Report Nov. 16

1.) Nov. 6 – 8:37 a.m.

A student was riding his bicycle near 30th and Burt streets when the vehicle in front of him stopped suddenly. The cyclist ran into the rear end of the vehicle, catapulting him through the rear windshield. The student was transported to CUMC.

2.) Nov. 6 – 10:30 a.m.

A student reported that he was riding his bicycle near 33rd and Webster streets when he was struck by a hit- and- run vehicle. He was treated for minor injuries at Student Health.

3.) Nov. 7 – 12:46 p.m.

A student and a visitor were involved in a traffic accident on Wareham Parkway. The visitor, who was riding a motorcycle, slowed down for a pedestrian and the student in a vehicle attempted to pass him but clipped the cycle causing it to crash. The Omaha Police and a rescue squad responded but the motorcycle rider did not require medical attention. The student was cited for following too closely.

4.) Nov. 9 – 9:45 a.m.

A student was attempting to park his vehicle in the Burt Street Lot when he inadvertently damaged a parked car owned by another student.

5.) Nov. 9 – 11:45 p.m.

An intoxicated student was transported by Public Safety from Swanson Hall to CUMC.
