“Heaven is For Real” storyline slow, makes audiences think

β€œHeaven is For Real” is a drama that makes you question everything you do and don’t believe.

Colton is a 4-year-old boy from Nebraska who lives with his parents and sister in a small town. His father is a priest, and his mom is a housewife who is also very involved with their church.

β€œHeaven is For Real” starts off by showing the life of this family, emphasizing that they are all very much involved in their church. One day, Colton starts feeling sick. His parents are not too concerned, thinking it is food poisoning or something similar. As the days passed, Colton seems to be only getting worse and his parents decide to take him to the ER.

Once the doctors figure out that Colton has appendicitis and has to quickly go to the operating room, it is almost too late. After his surgery, the doctors tell the parents that it is clearly a miracle that Colton is alive.

After Colton wakes up, he starts telling extravagant stories. He tells his dad he went to heaven and saw angels and Jesus. His dad wants to believe him, while his mom thinks he is just being a little boy.

The movie has a very interesting twist to it,and it is interesting to see how everyone reacts to what happens to Colton. Some people are very skeptical, do not believe it at all and make fun of Colton, while others blindly believe it is true.

The movie has no intention in persuading the audience into believing or not believing. It simply makes us curious.

The actors did a remarkable job in the movie. The father (Greg Kinnear) really got into his character and Colton (Connor Corum) also did an extraordinary job.

β€œThe movie wasn’t my favorite, but it was interesting to watch the family go through this journey of faith,” Nursing sophomore Natasha Ogata said.

Reviews online are not high for β€œHeaven is For Real.” IMDb gives the movie a 5.6 out of 10.

The movie is a bit tiring and slow. I believe that if the movie would have been narrated from the boy’s point of view, rather than the father’s, it would have had a much more interesting perspective. It relied a lot on everyone else’s opinion and feelings on Colton’s visit to heaven, rather than how Colton truly felt about it.

β€œHeaven is For Real” will be available on DVD soon.Β
