1st Quarter:
The first round begins as Mississippi State #21 Debreasha Powe gets the first three points.
Two three pointers in a row for Powe. Score is 6-0 Mississippi State
Emma Ronsiek comes back with a three at 8 mins.
Mississippi State steals the Creighton inbound for a layup on the other end. Mississippi State leading 14-7 with 6 minutes left.
With a media timeout called at 4:58, Creighton trails 7-16.
Creighton has first possession coming out of the timeout. Ronsiek drives to the hoop for a fadeaway jumper with 4 mins left in the 1st quarter.
Jensen with a drive to the hoop with 3 mins remaining to put the score within 5. Miss. State comes back with a two to make it 18-11 MSU.
With 2:13 left in the 1st, Creighton is only 1-6 on three pointer attempts.
Mississippi State hits another three with 1:45 remaining. The Bulldogs take a 23-12 lead over the Bluejays.

2nd Quarter:
Lauren Jensen with the first points of the quarter, shooting a three after a pass out from Maly on her own offensive rebound with 9:30 remaining.
Bluejays not finding their momentum in the three-point game, only shooting 2-12.
Timeout taken by Creighton with 7:21 left in the 2nd quarter. Creighton trails 30-19. The Bluejays can’t find their shot, only shooting 31.82% from the field.
MSU has proven efficient from three-point range, going 6-8 on three-point attempts.
Rachael Saunders in foul trouble early, getting three fouls with 5:27 left in the half. Creighton trails 37-21 to MSU.
Ronsiek scored a mid-range jumper with 3 mins left to bring the score to 27-40.
Kiani Lockett and Ronsiek with back-to-back threes on consecutive possessions. Bluejays bring the lead within 10, trailing 44-33.
MSU calls a timeout with a minute remaining.
At the half, Creighton trails 47-37. The Bluejays shot 47% in the first half and 29% from three-point range. MSU shot 8-12 from three-point range and shot an overall 56% from field-goal range.
Ronsiek leads the Bluejays with 14 points at the half, with Jensen just behind her with 11 points.
3rd Quarter:
The first points of the quarter came from MSU on a layup. The Bluejays trail 49-37 with 8 minutes remaining.
Mogensen scores the Bluejays first three pointer of the half with 5:49 remaining. The Bluejays trail 51-40.
At the MSU timeout with 5:07 left in the quarter, the Bluejays face a 13 point deficit, 53-40.
MSU extends the lead to 60-40 following a three-pointer with 3:26 left in the third. Ronsiek matches MSU with a three of her own with 3:08 remaining. MSU leads 60-43.
At the end of the third quarter, the Bluejays face a 20 point deficit, down 65-45 to MSU. The Bluejays have gone 2-17 from field goal range this quarter.
4th Quarter:
With 7:54 remaining, Saunders picks up her fourth foul.
Creighton gets their first basket of the quarter on a lay-up from Ronsiek with 6:13 remaining. Bluejays trail 68-47.
Saunders fouls out her with 2:51 remaining.
Creighton brings the score within 16 (75-59), on a three-pointer made by Jensen and assisted by Ronsiek with 2:43 remaining. Jensen gets her 19th point of the night.
At the end the game, Creighton falls to MSU 81-66.

PREVIEW— The No. 6 Creighton Bluejay women’s basketball team will take on the No. 11 Mississippi State Bulldogs on Friday, March 17 at 5 p.m.
Creighton comes into the game with a 22-8 record, while Mississippi State enters with a 22-10 record, and enters two days after cruising to a 24-point win against Illinois in their First Four matchup on Wednesday.
The winner of this game will advance to play No. 3 Notre Dame on Sunday.
