Over the last couple of months, the 2024 season of “The Bachelor” has taken America and the Creighton campus by storm. “Bachelor Monday” has become a staple in many households; people made brackets and themed snacks based on who they thought was going to be engaged by the end of the season.
This season’s “Bachelor” was Joey Graziadei, a Pennsylvania native who moved to Hawaii to teach as a tennis pro. This season captivated many fans, since Graziadei was the runner up from the previous season of “The Bachelorette.”
The finale featured just two women, Kelsey and Daisy, after 3rd place recipient Rachel was eliminated the week beforehand. The episode began with a scene of Joey on the beach seemingly looking like he was left behind, which then cut to him talking about the two finalists. He described Kelsey, Daisy and his relationships with them, and the producers included a recap of all the moments each of them spent with him.
Soon after, Joey’s family appeared and began to offer advice. Joey said, “I won’t say I love you until the last day,” referencing choosing between Kelsey and Daisy. Joey’s sisters then had a one-on-one conversation with Daisy, where she told them she is falling in love with him.Soon after, she saidshe feared getting hurt if he didn’t choose her.
The family was a bit concerned when Kelsey entered because, when asked if she was ready to get engaged, Kelsey responded with, “I think so.” This slightlyworriedJoey, and he said he would discuss it later with Kelsey.
The next day, Joey and Daisy had their “last chance” date where, after making wishes into a waterfall in Mexico,Joey said, “I feel so lucky to have gotten to know you.” This made fans question whether Daisy will end up with him, even though she was a fan favorite since the start.
Joey and Kelsey then met up for their final date, where Kelsey said she would be ready for a proposal if it came from him.
As Joey picked out an engagement ring, Kelsey and Daisy chatted and revealed that they had formed a true friendship from their time on the show. As Daisy walked up to meet Joey, she said she knows he’s not going to choose her and expressed that she wanted to leave on her own terms. As she got in the car to exit, Daisy said, “If I can love the wrong person that much, imagine how much I can love the right person.”
That comment caused fans to speculate if Daisy would become the next Bachelorette, as Kelsey got engaged to Joey. Later in the episode, it is revealed that Jenn Tran,a contestant on this season, would be the next Bachelorette.
