“BOO GOO” Bash to Haunt the Slowdown

Anxious to get a jump-start on your Halloween weekend celebrations? Throw on your best costume and head to the Slowdown this Friday for the “BOO GOO” bash.

The doors open at 8 p.m., and the spooky celebration will continue until 2 a.m.

Admission is $5 at the door for those wearing costumes and $10 for anyone not decked out in Halloween attire.

Jacob Thiele, who is assisting in the party’s production, encourages Creighton students to come out and join in the frightening fun.

“The music selection will be top shelf, people will be having a blast and the energy will be positively spooktacular,” Thiele said.

In addition to partying amid the eerie atmosphere, all who attend the Halloween bash will have the chance to enter the “BOO GOO” costume contest. Those interested in participating are encouraged to take a snapshot of their costumes and submit the photographs as they enter the party for the judges to review.

“The entries will be projected throughout the night amidst the classic Lon Cheney horror films and other blood curdling imagery,” Thiele said.

Various prizes, from free drinks to Film Streams memberships, will be awarded to the top costume winners.

The party is open to all ghosts and goblins 21 years of age and older.
