Women shut out by Minnesota

The women’s soccer team was shut out 3-0 Sunday afternoon against the University of Minnesota in the final game of the Regina Moench Memorial Tournament.

Their record falls to 4-2-0 on the season with today’s loss, which was made worse by the fact that the Jays were outshot 31-5 overall. It was also the first time this season that Creighton did not have a corner kick. Minnesota dominated the game, not allowing a shot on goal until the 48th minute, when freshman Marcy Mauer’s attempt was wide.

The Jays are looking to end their losing streak on Friday when they return home to face Portland State at 7 p.m.
