The Bluejays extended their shutout streak to five in a 0-0 draw against St. Louis University.
Redshirt freshman Brian Holt stopped all five of the Billiken’s shots on goal, extending his shutout streak to 559:06, which is only three minutes short of the school record. On the other end of the pitch, Billiken keeper Pat Disbennett was able to deflect the four shots on goal from the Jays.
The Jays had several chances to break the tie, particularly from the season-high 10 corner kicks for the Jays this match.
With this tie, the Billikens were able to maintain their undefeated season, and, extending to last season, they are now undefeated in 17 straight matches.
The Jays were able to keep their own undefeated streak alive, having not lost an away match since the beginning of last season. The Jays are now 9-0-1 away from Omaha and 7-0-1 in true road games.
The Jays return home to face off against Memphis on Wednesday night. Game time is 7 p.m.
