The men’s soccer team battled Missouri State to a scoreless tie on Tuesday night in Springfield, Mo. The draw keeps Creighton undefeated in MVC play over the last two seasons. It also makes the Jays 10-1-2 on the season.

Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Nick Goldreich got his first career start and earned his first shutout to give Creighton its 10th shutout in 13 matches. The Bluejays had 21 shots in the game, while allowing the Bears only 6.

Senior Seth Sinovic led the team with 3 shots on goal in a frustrating night for the offense. The team had to play without freshman Greg Jordan, who was suspended for accumulating his fifth yellow card in the Jays’ previous game.

The Bluejays face off against Drake on Saturday, Nov. 1. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. It is also Senior Day at Morrison Stadium, where the three seniors, Andrei Gotsmanov, Tim Walters and Seth Sinovic, will be recognized.
