Men end Wichita’s losing streak

The Jays fell to Wichita State 74-61 as the Shockers ended a six-game losing streak.

Senior Booker Woodfox led the game with 20 points, followed closely by Shocker Toure’ Murry who had 17 in the game. The only other Jay to score in double digits was freshman Antoine Young.

After falling behind 1-0 with 18:13 left in the first half, the Shocker Garrett Stutz hit a three, and the team never looked back. At half-time, the Shockers had a 31-21 lead, with Creighton scoring a season-low in the first half.

Creighton is heading to Evansville for a Tuesday night matchup. Tipoff will be at 6:05 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
