The Jays served Evansville its second home loss of the season, beating the Purple Aces 79-57 at Roberts Stadium.
The Jays bounced back from their loss to Wichita by scoring 46 points in the first half, which is the most this season. Sophomore Kenny Lawson, Jr. led the Jays with 16 points and extended his streak to 13 consecutive games with a blocked shot. Sophomore Casey Harriman also stood out for the Jays, scoring 11 points, which is one more than his previous best.
The Jays return to Qwest for a three game homestand, starting with Saturday’s matchup against Drake. Tip off is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. The game will be shown on KMTV.
