Dear Students-

I wanted to thank the over 850 students who attended the Bluejay volleyball opener on Friday night for the Bluejays’ sweep of Texas Tech. What an amazing atmosphere to open the D.J. Sokol Arena in the Ryan Center. This new arena is truly one of the TOP volleyball arenas in the country, and our goal, with your help, is to make it one of the toughest places to play in the country.

I can’t tell you how much energy you brought and how much fun everyone in attendance had. I heard over and over how great the student section was. We hope to make each home match a crazy atmosphere full of students — this new arena is YOUR home! We look forward to seeing you for our next home weekend — Sept. 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. Thanks again for your support and GO JAYS!!!
