anything but stellar. You’re sick of the dining halls or just don’t want to cook, but as a college student, you don’t have a lot of extra money lying around to eat out. Take a look at this list of awesome deals around Omaha and a few little tricks that will help you save some cash on food.

5. Jazz Kitchen’s 20 percent Student Discount
That’s right! All day, every day, Creighton students receive a 20 percent student discount at Jazz Kitchens with a valid Creighton ID. Located at 1421 Farnam St., this Louisiana style restaurant features live music Wed. to Sat. nights and happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Mon-Fri.
6. Use the “condiments”
Order a latte. Then add some honey and cinnamon to make it a tasty treat. No need to order an iced latte, mocha, white mocha or caramel macchiato. Instead, ask for an iced coffee with your preferred flavoring and room for cream. Then, add your own milk or cream. When your drink is cold, it doesn’t matter if the milk was steamed since it will cool off with ice anyway.
7. CSU student savings union
Thanks to a partnership with the Students Savings Club, Creighton’s very own Creighton Students Union has put together a list of discounts at local restaurants for students with a valid ID. There’s no reason not to take advantage of these deals.
