Freshman setter Megan Bober battled an illness, and senior middle blocker Jessica Houts and junior outside Alicia Runge had an error-less day of hitting to lead the Jays past Southern Illinois 23-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-18.
After losing the first set, the Jays came back to tie it up in set two. Creighton continued to surge, never trailing in set three and not allowing the Salukis to get closer than three points in the fourth.
Houts ended with 15 kills, and Runge had 13. With 17 digs, senior outside hitter Sarah Schulze surpassed 1,000 career digs.
Creighton moves up to 11-15 on the season and 8-7 in the Missouri Valley Conference with the win.
