It is common for people to develop a case of the “winter blues” this time of year. As we enter the cold (and seemingly endless) period between Christmas and Spring Break, students may struggle to fight off the blues. While the feeling may not amount to full-fledged seasonal affective disorder, it is prevalent and can be remedied by several easy measures. These include opening the blinds and going outside anytime the sun comes out from behind the clouds. Frequent exercise and healthy eating–especially fruits and vegetables–are also imperative. If all else fails, try to watch some good comedies to start laughing.
