Online Exclusive: Win a date with a reality star

This Saturday, Regency Court is hosting a fun new event that gives contestants the chance to win a date with ABC’s “The Bachelorette” participant, Wes Hayden.

Curious on how to win? You will have 10 seconds to show the judges why you deserve this date with Hayden. The audition can be as theatrical as you would like, complete with singing and dancing or a simple speech about why you want this opportunity. A few words of advice from the judges: make it memorable.

The judges who will be deciding your fate are Natalie Getz and Jesse Kovacs, both participants on “The Bachelor Pad,” as well as “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” respectively. Joining them is KMTV’s “Morning Blend” hosts Mike and Mary.

The winner will receive dinner with Hayden at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Bar, a shopping spree from Garbo’s Salon and Spa, a night on the town in a luxurious stretch limo from Limousine Services Omaha and one thousand dollars worth of jewelry from Borsheims. Yes, you read that right, one thousand dollars worth of jewelry from Borsheims.

Want to know a little more about this famous bachelor? Hayden is a small town boy from the Lone Star State. He started playing music at age eight and, when he got a little older, moved to Austin to pursue his country music career. He has been playing professionally since the age of 16 and is currently working on his fourth album.

At 32, he was chosen as a contestant for “The Bachelorette,” season five.

β€œMy little sister actually signed me up,” Hayden explained. β€œI thought it was a joke.”

Hayden was pegged as the show’s β€œbad boy” and was portrayed as a villain. But in reality he grew up going to Bible school and his dad worked in ministry.

Even after being on television and experiencing many whirlwind dates, Hayden still has his idea of a dream girl.

β€œMy dream girl plays well with others,” Hayden said. β€œShe isn’t snobby, is very independent, spiritual and, most importantly, my best friend. She also has to be okay with what I do for a living.”

And his idea of a great date doesn’t involve helicopters, television cameras and roses. Hayden’s perfect date would start with dinner, drinks and good conversation. If all went well, he would end the night with one of his hobbies: country dancing.

This event for a chance to win a date with Wes Hayden will be held at the Regency Court Mall from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. this Saturday. It is open to everyone and it is completely free.
