The men’s soccer team won 2-0 last night against UC Riverside in the Diadora Challenge tournament. The victory improved their record to 3-0-0. Freshman Ethan Finlay scored his second career goal 23 minutes into the game off of a fumble by the Highlanders’ goalkeeper. Freshman Greg Jordan nabbed his first career goal off of a blocked shot in the 58th minute. Another outstanding defensive effort from goalkeeper Brian Holt gave the Bluejays their second straight shutout. The defense held strong, not allowing UC Riverside any shots on goal throughout the entire match.

Four players were named to the all-tournament team, including Finlay, Jordan, Holt, and co-MVP senior Andrei Gotsmanov.

The Bluejays look to stay undefeated next week when they face UMKC on Saturday at 7 p.m.
