The event was sponsored by Women’s Empowerment Base, College Democrats, College Republicans, CU African-American Student Association, NAACP, Women and Gender Studies Department and the Lieben Center. Marie Young, Arts & Sciences senior, attended the event and said it spanned further than issues of gender and race. It also touched on ageism, heterosexism and issues related to religion. “It was interesting to hear from Dr. Ha that sexism exists in virtually every culture in the world. But, because there isn’t racial diversity in every corner of the world, racism isn’t always a factor.”
