Softball falls in game three of Tulsa Select Festival

After jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the Tulsa Select Festival, the Creighton Bluejays dropped their first game of two contests Sunday morning against University of Louisiana-Monroe. The Jays, who had their highest scoring total in nine seasons, finished the game on the wrong side of a 3-0 shutout despite leaving 12 runners on base throughout the game.

Only two Bluejays had hits in the game. Senior outfielder Jessica Wakasugi finished the game 3-for-3 and junior utility player Renae Sinkler finished 2-for-3 from the plate. The loss drops Creighton to 5-3 on the season.
