Maybe you have heard of it or maybe you haven’t. Whatever the case is, it has taken my circle of friends by storm. Many students have heard of fmylife.com, which provides humorous but sometimes downright saddening excerpts of how terribly hilarious life can be. But more often times than not, the excerpts seem too absurd, unreal and cruel to actually occur. The Web site name is even hinting at a profanity! Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself at fmylife.com
After reading several degrading and depressing excerpts, life became even more gloomy than I thought it could on a dreary November day. Instinctively, I go to mylifeisaverage.com, a Web site which has been providing me with smiles for weeks now.
Sure, sometimes the excerpts still seem too good (and random), to be true, but at least they are HAPPY excerpts. Another perk is many could have happened to anyone. It is just the luck of the draw.
Despite the many MLIA-ers that seem to have a strange affinity for Star Wars and Harry Potter, there is an excerpt for everyone. Heck, there is even an average word of the day (today’s is “clock”). It is just nice to know randomly, awesome things can happen to completely and utterly average people like you and me.
For example, the best excerpt this year:
“Today, I realized the word bed actually looks like a bed. MLIA”
So if you need a little bit of a break, go to mylifeisaverage.com and enjoy!
