Jewish Women in Interfaith Marriages

Last night I attended a lecture by Dr. Karen McGinity. She works at the University of Michigan and does research on different aspects of Judaism. Her latest topic, and the topic of her lecture, was Jewish women in interfaith marriages.

She began researching this topic because she noticed that nothing had been written about it previously. So, after years of research, she has published a book and speaks at college campuses across the country.

The speech was very interesting. I never realized how complex the issue of Jewish women in interfaith marriages really is.

Read more about the lecture in my article in this week’s issue of the Creightonian!
