Justin Timberlake recently blew away a sold-out crowd at the CenturyLink Center as part of his 20/20 Experience World Tour.

Timberlake was a one-man show on Feb. 10. He did not have any artist open for him, although there was a DJ getting the audience pumped up before Timberlake gave a two-and-a-half hour performance.

Despite being sick, he kept the energy up while singing and dancing through 29 numbers and even cracked some jokes in between. He was the definition of entertainment.

“He is a great singer and performer,” said Arts & Sciences sophomore Karlin Naslund, who was in attendance Monday night. “He has the voice and the dance moves to command the stage even in a place as big as the CenturyLink Center.”

Arts & Sciences sophomore Libby Duong had been looking forward to Timberlake’s concert since she bought her ticket back in the summer.

“I have consistently listened to Justin Timberlake my whole life,” she said. “I would consider myself a pretty big fan.”

Duong did not leave the concert disappointed. It met all of her expectations and more.

“He sang amazingly, he danced amazingly, he was just amazing,” she said.

Timberlake’s tour is based on his most recent album “The 20/20 Experience” which he released last March. His show included songs off this album as well as many of his past hits.

“I was excited to hear what his new songs would sound like live and when he played his old songs, I felt a bit of nostalgia,” Duong said. “I was reassured as to why he is one of my favorite artists.”

Naslund also enjoyed the mix of his new and old songs.

“I really liked his performances of ‘Summer Love’ and ‘Suit and Tie,’ she said. “Those were my two favorites and they really stood out from all of the rest.”
