Advice for students afraid to come out: Donβt be afraid to be yourself.
βThere are a lot of allies on campus. Being a Jesuit Catholic institution, I can see why someone would be afraid, but it is a really great community. The professors and Jesuits are very supportive.β
Advice for students with friends who are LBGTQ: Be supportive.
βItβs OK not to know all the answers. Just be there for them β theyβre the same person who theyβve always been.β
Her idol: Slam poet Andrea Gibson.
