Creighton Students Union hosted its first delegates meeting of the semester and 2023 school year. Β
During this 31-minute meeting, topics such as club funding and plans for the year were discussed. Β
The meeting covered club funding, with clubs such as the Pre-Health club and Hui βO Hawaiβi club. Funding would go towards events hosted by these clubs as well as activities and events for the members of the club.Β
Creighton Students Union also discussed upcoming Creighton Program Board events this spring and when and where they will be hosted. Β
The delegates then discussed the budget for Creighton Students Union and allocated money for events and future initiatives. This was the first meeting with the newly elected members of Creighton Students Union, President Fineas Herrera and Vice President Jason Cao. Β
Cao and Herrera said that making the meetings more efficient is a goal for the year and was listed as one of his goals for delegate meetings. He also spoke on the atmosphere of the meeting and how it felt to have everyone back for the spring semester. Β
βThe house is almost full, and thatβs good news,β Cao said. βWe are just looking for a Speaker of the House and an online student delegate.βΒ
