1.) Being green pays off

Creighton’s environmentally consciousness continues to pay off in more ways than one as CU joins the ranks

of 322 other U.S. and Canadian colleges deemed β€œGreen Colleges,” according to the Princeton Review’s Guide. In order to determine which school made the list, a 50-question survey of administrators at various colleges was taken in 2012 to see which schools offered the most green amenities. Colleges scoring 83 or higher on the scale outlined by the survey made this list. Creighton is the only Nebraska school listed.

2.) Junior Goldwater scholar announced

Arts & Sciences junior Joseph Christensen has received the honor of being named the Goldwater scholar for the 2013-2014 school year. The Goldwater scholarship will provide Christensen with $7,500 each year during the time he completes his undergraduate studies. 1,107 students were nominated nationwide, but only 270 sophomores and juniors were selected to receive this honor.
