I’ve lived in Omaha for pretty much my entire life and until about two weeks ago, I’ve never been to Omaha’s Farmers Market. Not being a big fan of fruits and veggies myself, I just never really saw the need to go. But, when I ventured downtown last weekend, I was in for a huge surprise. Vegetable and fruit stands are only some of the many setups going on down there.
Dog treat stands, pumpkin stands, balloon animals for the kiddies, live music and fresh flower stands are just some of the many things Omaha’s Farmers Market has to offer and all at pretty reasonable prices. I left with a fresh bouquet of sunflowers myself.
Omaha’s Farmers Market is on Saturday mornings starting May 2 to October 10 from 8:00am to 12:30pm along 11th and Jackson downtown in the Old Market.
