Plans after graduation: Kelly will be taking a month off to go travel Europe; he bought a flight into Dublin and back home from Amsterdam with no plans in between yet. In July, Kelly will start a full-time job back home in Chicago with Protiviti, a risk and business consulting firm. Working in the IT Consulting Group, Kelly will be traveling around the country to different client locations and working on teams to solve their IT business problems. He is most looking forward to the chance to see a variety of industries and businesses.

What will you take with you from Creighton?

“One of the biggest lessons I have learned at Creighton has been finding a way to balance a variety of activities. Creighton has provided a very engaging environment for its students. I have always thought of school as a playground for real life in the sense that you can try new things without the consequences that might occur after school. This was a great place for me to test how far I can stretch myself. Finding new ways to manage school, work, fraternity events, social life, family and everything else is an exciting and stressful process. I’m really grateful for the supportive environment that I have had at Creighton during my time of growth and development. The relationships I have built throughout my time at Creighton will certainly be another thing that comes with me. The people I have met here have helped me to better understand myself and shape my opinions. I appreciate all the new and diverse perspectives that people have shared with me.”

Tim Kelly is in this week’s “Senior Spotlight.” After graduation in May, he is taking the month of June to travel around Europe. He will start working full-time in July.
